filter guideHVAC systems and air purifiers can both provide filtration for the air in your home. Only HEPA filters, however, have the highest level of filtering available. Most home HVAC systems are not designed to handle the high resistance filtering air through a HEPA filter. If HEPA filtration is required, we recommend an air purifier.

Filter Guide

Find the right level of efficiency for your home needs. High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters are extended filters that remove sub-micron particles with high efficiency. HEPA filters consist of a core filter that is folded back and forth over corrugated separators that add strength to the core and form the air passages between the pleats. The filter is composed of very fine sub-micron glass fibers in a matrix of larger fibers. HEPA filters have the highest level of filtering available. Most home HVAC systems are not designed to handle the strain of the high resistance filtering of a HEPA filter. If HEPA filtration is required, we recommend an air purifier.
