Air Purifier Performance to Price Comparison Chart

With the number of air purifiers available in the market, which brand do you chose based on your budget and performance needs.  At Air Purifiers America, we have done the homework for you.  The units below have been tested and rated to help with the selection.

The left hand side is the % of particles that the unit was able to remove within a given time - usually within one hour.  We used an IQAir particle meter capable of detecting particles as small as .3 microns in size.  We measured the number of particles in a room before and after the testing to generate the % of particle removal measurements. 

The best value products are units that have the highest % particle removal at the lowest price such as the Alen™ air purifiers.  The worst value are units with the worst % particle removal and the highest price like the Oreck XL or the Sharper Image Quadra.  For additional information in regards to air purifier testing and recommendations, please visit the links at the bottom of this page.
